SSC CGL (Combined Graduate level)


It is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries,departments and organizations of government of India.It is conducted by staff selection
commission for various posts.

Prerequisites- Candidates applying for government posts must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.The age of candidate must be between 18 to 32 years.

Structure of exam- The SSC CGL examination consists of four exams-
                   (1)Tier-1
                   (2)Tier-2
                   (3)Tier-3
                   (4)Tier-4

Syllabus of SSC CGL-
    For Tier-1 - It will be out of 200 marks.It will have 4 sections.
        (1) General intelligence and reasoning
        (2) General awareness
        (3) Quantitative aptitude
        (4) English comprehension
    For Tier-2 - It will also have four sections.Section 1 and 2 will be compulsory to all candidates who have qualified.Section 3 and 4 are only for those candidates
                   who have applied for special posts.
        (1) Quantitative ability
        (2) English language and comprehension
   For Tier-3 - It would be an off-line exam based on pen and paper.Duration of this test will be 1 hour.The topics will include Essay writing/Precis writing/Letter
                writing.This test aims your proficiency in writing.
   For Tier-4 - It will consist three modules as following:
        (1) Word Processing Test
        (2) Test in spread sheets on Microsoft Excel        
        (3) Test in Power point
 There are some instructions-
        (1) Candidates with physical disability would be considered as PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED and also entitled to reservation for PH.
        (2) Mobiles and other electronic gadgets are banned at exam centers.
